Mental Health Counseling

Anxiety and self esteem issues are a significant problem among secondary school level, with 69% of high school teachers, and 57% of middle school teachers reporting them as having a detrimental effect on their students.

GTE's  mental health program provides students with access to professional counseling, resources, and support to help them face life's challenges with confidence and improve academic performance.

Self Image Counseling

Studies indicate that roughly 19% to 50% of students and adolescents suffer from low self-esteem, with specific studies highlighting up to 61% of teenage girls in some regions struggling with self-worth. This insecurity is often directly linked to a struggling sense of self-identity, exacerbated by social media, academic pressure, and poor social support.

Financial Literacy

Artificial Intelligence

Approximately one-fifth (20% to over 40%) of students and young adults demonstrate low levels of financial literacy, often failing to grasp basic concepts like budgeting, interest rates, and risk management. A 2024 study indicated that over 40% of college students lack adequate financial literacy skills, with Generation Z averaging only 38% correct on personal finance tests.

GTE offers free workshops and one-on-one coaching to help students ages 12–20 build money skills like budgeting, saving, and credit basics through hands-on, age-appropriate programs.

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence

AI is accelerating faster than most classrooms can adapt. That gap leaves too many students behind, especially those without access to cutting-edge tech education.

Approximately 86% to 92% of students are actively using or interested in adopting Artificial Intelligence for their studies. A significant majority (74%) recognize AI as a vital skill for their future careers, while 66% see it as necessary for academic success.

The Answer

Our nonprofit delivers free, age-appropriate AI education for grades K-12, giving every student the tools to understand, question, and build with AI. We’re closing the gap so kids don’t just witness the AI revolution — they lead it.

Robotics

Student interest in robotics is exceptionally high, yet access to hands-on programs remains limited. Research shows 25% to 45% of high school students and up to 90% of middle school students want to learn robotics.

While student interest in robotics is high, a lack of resources in Arkansas often stifles this potential. GTE bridges this gap by providing free, hands-on robotics education and mentorship to underserved communities like North Little Rock. By teaching coding and engineering through competition teams and camps, we increase STEM career interest by 58%. This initiative transforms curiosity into a skilled workforce for Arkansas’s expandin

Coding

There is a surging demand for tech education among young Americans, yet the traditional school system is struggling to keep pace.

  • High Interest: 62% of U.S. students (grades 5–12) want to learn computer science, and over 45% of 16-to-23-year-olds are already coding.
  • Economic Drivers: This interest is fueled by the promise of better job opportunities (74%) and higher salaries (66%).
  • The Barrier: Despite this enthusiasm, most K-12 schools are hindered by a lack of funding, a shortage of trained teachers, and outdated curricula.

GTE actively closes this access gap by offering free, hands-on coding programs both during and after school. By combining project-based learning with industry mentors, GTE transforms student curiosity into the concrete skills required for high-demand tech careers.
